Just because they didn't develop one doesn't mean that they're not developing one or that they don't have plans for one. It's more important to get the hardware out the door than it is to develop an iPhone app for it. They certainly have skilled employees who can build an app, that's what I said in my post.

Hopefully they will integrate syncing with other cloud services like Dropbox as well, but the fact that the reMarkable at least has internet access as such - contrary to the DPT-RP1 - is very positive and leaves room for future cloud syncing updates. There's also an option to send a document by email directly from the reMarkable, see at 2:00: Last edited by juegos; 07-06-2017 at 10:08 AM. |

Juegos, this is a Sony forum, I'm tired of your shilling for the reMarkable. How many times have you posted this same video? Well, I went back and counted. You've posted it at least four times in the last ten pages or so. Enough is enough. Give us all a break and stop posting the same video.
Do you have any connection to the company that is producing the reMarkable? You have never answered that question, as far as I can tell. The reMarkable comes in a most unremarkable size. Why bother with that thing, it is too small. I don't care if it floats in the clouds, it will never produce a better user experience than the RP1, just because of screen size. Intelligent margin cropping does not make up for the reduced physical size of the device. Last edited by LarryNYC; 07-06-2017 at 10:04 PM. |

I have a DPT-RP1, and I love it. I understand and appreciate the security model, and really do like that it is unconnected. It is "digital paper," and not an e-reader or Internet device. Even better, it is in my hands (after I finish this post and leave my computer). I suggest a new forum be created for reMarkable and other possible new devices, where people can guess and dream about software, hardware, and capabilities, so that we can back to discussing the Sony DPT-RP1.

It may be that two, separate threads should be started: "RP1, Perfect" and "RP1, Shortcomings." While some feel the RP1 is just right (that it should be nothing more than a consumer device for printing virtual paper), many others are disappointed that the software is inadequate to the professional needs of Sony's stated target markets (e.g., law and music).

I've already suggested a new thread for Digital Paper requested missing features which people really want. |

We just need to get the reMarkable marketing campaign off of thls thread.
I don't believe the RP1 is perfect, no device or software is perfect. A device that is not shipping is thought of as perfect, however. It's fine to have one thread for the RP1. Just start a list of features that we would like added to the RP1. Ok, I'll start. Suggested improvements to the RP1 1) Add some way to transfer documents to the RP1 while users are away from their main computer. This means either support for cloud integration on the RP1 or iPhone and Android apps that allow users to perform these transfers. 2) Add PDF navigation features, which Sony says they're working on. 3) Support for Bluetooth pedals to allow for hands free page turning. Continue, referring to just the RP1 and how it could be made better. Last edited by LarryNYC; 07-07-2017 at 08:59 AM. |

4) battery notification for the pen. I am paranoid about the pen dying during my 90 minute commute. 5) ability to program the pen buttons and default pen action. I only highlight and holding down the top button is giving me a hand cramp. 6) an option for a home button on the screen. It is jarring to push the physical key when going back into folders. |

I didn't catch this. He also when he said he had it that the Amazon return policy was 2 weeks when it is 4 weeks. Sounds fishy to me.
