Author_sort and Edit metadata

Hello,
I've a problem with editing metadata. In Preferences I changed 'Saving books to disk' to a template
{author_sort}/{title}/{title} - {authors}
and it works. But whenever I change something in metadata all files are moved to a new directory
{author}/{title}/{title} - {authors}

{author_sort} is last name, first name
{auhor} is first name, last name

It means that the same author is split into 2 directories - once as LN,FN and once as FN,LN. It is confusing and irritates me.

What do I miss? Is there a tweak which I didn't turn on?
