Yeah I saw that but it is natural since if you don't have Prime and don't pay for fast shipping, it can take 7 business days or so.

Keep in mind that buying from Amazon is like encouraging injustice. Like other big players they find ways to pay less and less corporate taxes !

So does Sony and most other companies you're buying your products from (including the pc you're typing on and the phone in your hand).

I pre ordered on Amazon the first day it was announced, on May 25, which is earlier than some people on this forum who have received a shipment notification. Yet I haven't received a shipment notification. How does this work? I expected a first-order first-serve policy to ensure fairness but that's not the case?

Ok guys, you have to bug Amazon support if you ordered early, I did the following and it now says expected arrival Friday!

Me: Hello, I preordered a DPT RP1 on May 25 yet I haven't received a shipment notification. Other people who ordered it at a later date, however, did receive a shipment notification. Is there a first-order first-serve policy or something else?

You are now connected to S Salman from Amazon.com

S Salman: Hello, my name is Salman. I'm here to help you today.
Okay! Let me see that for you.
Well, i checked the product and it shows that it is out of stock and that's the reason it hasn't been shipped yet.

Me: Yeah it's out of stock, but it has been shipped to some customers but not to me, although I was one of the first to order.

S Salman: Yes, that is disappointing. I can understand it. But, it's now up to that product, as soon as it is back in stock it will be shipped and delivered. As this is still a pre-order without finalized shipments dates, what I can do is contact the seller about this.

Me: Ok. Can you just boot someone who ordered later than I did and instead ship the product to me? I don't understand why people who ordered later than I did get the product earlier.

S Salman: Check your shipment status now.

Well boys, doesn't look like it is going to happen for me. I just got off the phone with Amazon and they told me the window they have is June 20 - Aug 3. For some reason, I'm expecting it to be even longer for me. I pre-ordered on June 16th. I explained that others got shipping notice, and she said they probably had a limited quality. She couldn't do anything for me.

It looks like Sony has struck gold with this 2nd gen model and the price point is a good one. They completely underestimated the demand.

I guess Youtube videos will have to do until Sony is able to meet the demand. Hopefully some english speaking videos will appear soon.

Well, I talked to B&H again and they said they haven't received any shipment from Sony yet.

I'm sorry if my posting upset people. I thought they would have stock to meet the first week or more of preorders. I'm sure they're not building them custom! It's nice to see there is demand for the product. I hope I get mine, they did charge my card and the thing is somewhere in California. We'll see.....

I'll post an impression when I get it.

no problems LarryNYC. Did you get the cover too? I am most interested in the two different pen nibs. One is supposed to be like a pencil and the other is like a ball point pen.

I don't think any of us are upset, just disappointed. We will be living vicariously through you until we get ours though!
