I talked to the nurse. My sister had a stroke. She is going to need a caretaker now. Neither realize what has permanently changed. Sis speech is garbled but she understands when being spoken​ to.

I'm all angered out. Now I just feel sad and helpless. I know they are not the two best people and can be quite manuplating drama queens but I do love them.

No. I take that back. I'm angry at the doctor who sent her home. I feel sorry for his patients. To not reconize the signs of stroke he needs​ to retire. I'm angry at myself for not calling 911 when I should but they have cried wolf so many, many times. I knew she was having trouble talking but she was able to communicate enough to tell Mom not to call. I've been so dealing with grief that I just wasn't thinking straight or wanting to deal with their antics.

The hospital called. Mom gave the nurse my number. She called because mom spent the night there and needs help as she could barely get out of the recliner this morning. She ask me for family numbers which I don't have. I cut that side of the family out if my life. The nurse was near to tears because she isn't allowed to help Mom. She did not judge me. Sweet sweet lady.

I did talk to her about my sister's diagnosis. She will be going into a rehabilitation center. My sister had no backup plan. No notebook with numbers , instructions or even what 50 pills mom takes a day. I don't know what to do other waiting on her social worker to step in.

Ok. I am confused. In your previous post, you said your sister was in the hospital near you but mom was 5 hours away, how did mom get to the hospital?
Even if I misunderstood that post, how did mom get to the hospital?

All you can do now is wait on the social worker to figure out something.

She called her grandson. So for five frantic hours no one could find mom. The hospital wasn't picking up so I had no idea she was there till she called me late last night. It was supposed to be a visit but she refused to leave so her grandson took off. Now he refused to take her home. Mom is dangerous with a phone. Always has been. *sigh*

Got another call from the hospital. Mom collapsed. They admitted her. She is on the floor above my sister's room. Now I don't have to worry about her for a few days and more than likely she have to go to rehab from the hospital like always. So while this is bad, for me it's a relief she's safe and cared for.

Do they really think it is effective in trying to trick you into thinking you are talking to a real person?

Does a home security company think I'll use them if they can't figure out I'm on the Do Not Call list?

And the freaking government for not enforcing the do not call list. Idiots.

I'm sorry you're going through all this. I've been through some care-giver times, as has my now elderly mom. It is never easy, even without family drama.

I had a Robo call from a "law enforcement" charity. I knew it was a robot when it talked over me. I wish it had been a human, I would have gladly given them my brother's work phone number. Him or an associate would have gladly taken that call.

Hi this Becky with FYO construction, we will be on (name of your street) next week examine roofs.
This call came in less than 24 hours after a big hail and wind storm.

I'm sorry for you, Blossom. I'm a bit sorrier for your mom--because I doubt she realizes what's just happened. No doubt that she'll now have to have full-time caregivers, in a caregiving environment--so, a nursing home. Presumably, she qualifies for Medicaid?

AND, your sister. It would probably be a year, if not more, before she could recover enough to care for your mom again, if that's even possible. Will she be able to pay her bills, if that money goes away?

Dang. That's a tough situation.
