Next model kobo? Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2

The KA1 and H2O 2 have 8gb, not 8mb of storage. But aside from that, which I assume was a typo, I agree with moofy.

There definitely is variations between readers--on my Aura One, 6% is usually what I find comfortable in a dark room, but on my Aura HD, I need to have the lighting set at about 15%.

I keep my Aura HD at 30% whether during the day or in a dark room reading in bed. My Kindles I keep between 10 and 12 (out of 25). If I go any lower, the contrast gets too low in the dark.

I could keep them lower during the day, but I'm really not interested in fiddling with the light a lot...I just set it at what is comfortable for me in the dark and leave it alone.

I wonder if it differs a lot for the same model. I use about 5-10% for reading in the dark with my Aura HD. 30% and I would feel like a deer caught in the head light.
Or if the real difference is between the humans. Probably.

It's a really good thing we can adjust as we see fit.

The biggest difference is the screen. The One has a Carta screen while the HD is Pearl. Carta has better contrast so you don't need as much light as with Pearl.

I just tried in a dark room. Anything under 10% is a strain on the eyes. I guess 10% is okayish for reading. Orange or white/blue light give more or less the same result for brightness.
Those who read with under 10%, is it actually on the H20 2, or are we comparing apples and oranges?

And in beta features I only have the web browser. So unless it's been put somewhere else I can't find, no sudoku.

Kobo stopped putting the games on the devices starting with the Glo HD. All the earlier devices should have them. I just checked my Glo, and Sudoku is there and starts.

There's suppose to be a quick hack to get the games for the Glo HD by editing the KoboReader.sqlite file. Not sure if there's something equivalent for the Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2

That worked by adding the tile for the game to the home screen. It doesn't work with the new home screen.
