I'm such a slacker!

That's why I keep applying for the job I really want... Powerball winner. So far I haven't been able to get so much as an interview... Oh to be able to do nothing but read great books all day long!

I am seriously going to have to check out these books on MobileRead... But right this second I have 30 books on my Kindle that I haven't even cracked open yet, so there's no rush!

Hi nelamvr6 and welcome to the Forum. Although I live in Virginia at the moment, I graduated from Old Lyme High and UCONN and my parents, both New Yorkers, ultimately retired in Groton.

Also, the first book I uploaded on my ebook reader when I got it a year ago was 'Hitchhikers Guide'.

Is there a way to flag on that spread sheet which books I have read? Or, do I need to copy it. I wanted to get my count. But, I'm guessing it is under 12.

Yes, there *should* be a column for Read (or Unread). The easy way to count it when you are done is to highlight the top line, then go to Data/Filter/Autofilter. Then it'll let you sort between read and unread without messing up the data.

edit* i forgot this is a google spreadsheet, and I have no idea if it has this capability. But if you can migrate it to excel, then you can do that. If you want later, I can post up my excel copy, but it's full of weird comments like, "Mom has a copy." But it has what is on MobileRead (I checked the Sony Classics first then checked for MobileRead, and also paid copies available on Sony. I get bored a lot).

I'm still in the process of re-reading the entire series. It just seems natural, the Kindle bears such a resemblance to that famous book!

Unfortunately the last book in the series, "Mostly harmless", isn't available for Kindle. At least not through normal channels. I'll have to check to see if it's available here.

All you have to do to save it to your computer is go to File>Save and you'll have a choice of formats to save it in.
