Sigil creating blank pages when publishing ePubs

Have you looked to see if you have elements with bottom-margin being applied (via css or otherwise) where the blank pages are occurring?

If not, it sounds like that's just the luck of the draw in ADE (depending on line-height, font-sizes, etc...) in where the last line of a flow happens to appear on the screen. Using top-margin for vertical spacing instead of bottom-margin sounds like the best way to minimize the chances of it occurring. Though ADE has different issues with top-margin not always being honored under certain conditions as well (namely following "soft" page breaks).

Where ADE doesn't honor a top margin, I was thinking that it might honor a padding top instead. When you have blank space as a section break, using padding instead of a margin works better as it's honored when the section break falls at the bottom of the page and the first paragraph of the new section starts on the next page.

Regardless of when top-margin is honored or not, I've always preferred using it for vertical spacing over bottom-margin. Just seems more logical to me. I almost never run into a need for soft page-breaks anyway. New flow ... fewer problems.
