Book details panel

Hi! (I am not a developer and hope not to be offtopic in this subforum) I very much appreciate the new feature in Preferences->Look & feel->Book details about the possibility to change the behaviour when clicking an author name. My request is: would it be possible to permanently ADD custom search URLs to the drop-down menu in place of just setting them occasionally in the preferences? The reason is that while I most often use Wikipedia-en to search for author information, sometime I need to switch to Wikipedia-other-languages for authors who are not listed in the English version (e.g. my custom search would become therefore: https://it.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search={author} and I would like to add it to the menu options).

There is no way to add entries to that menu, but if you find the need to search custom URLs I suggest using the Search the internet plugin which allows this and has many other nice features as well.

In Calibre versions lower than 2.85 it was possible to change wikipedia search from "https://en." to"https://de.".
In V. 2.85 I could not find that anymore. I am just able to choose Wikipedia as search engine.
There is an entry: "Use a custom search URL" but I do not know how to use it.
Where can I get information/help?

Choose Custom URL, type your custom URL in the box that appears below. Click the Apply button.

For searching authors on German Wikipedia you may use the following custom URL: https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search={author}

Here is a nice solution for getting more than one link which I use to search for autor or the book. It is in German but the picture and coding should be selfexplanatory.
