I tried, the reader doesn't react at all. Not to the reset button, not the procedure with tapping the corners. It's simply showing the cover of the last book (like in sleep mode) and that's it. I can't get it to show any activity (not even the square reboot icons).

What does the power LED do when you turn it on?

Nothing. It's completely dead. I charged it over night again and still nothing happens. I attached it to my MacBook and if I can trust the USB information it's not even consuming power. It's not showing up as device either.

Okay so I attached the reader to my Windows 10 box and it does chime the "USB device connected" sound. The first time it told me it has to do additional device configurations but that vanished and after that there was nothing else displayed.

When I push the reset button I get the USB disconnect and connect sound but apart from that nothing happens. If anyone has an idea it would be appreciated.


Update: 15 minutes later Windows suddenly told me that it had finished configuring the "NS Blank Kodex" device. Which seems to be some sort of debug/recovery mode? I have opened a new thread for this: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=286595

Hi davidfor, can you please send me the Kobo Aura H2O SD image? The internal SD-Card of my Kobo Aura H2O has bad sectors, so it does not boot anymore and I would like to replace it by a new SD-Card.
