We just had lunch. We are on a soup and salad kick here.

French bread (toasted)
A thick soup or chowder (corn chowder today)
Bagged salad, croutons and Caesar dressing.

The soup is from a can so easy to prepare. Easy to eat and easy clean up.

Right now, laundry and the first load of dishes is soaking. It is mostly measuring stuff and cutting boards.
I cooked yesterday. A rice pudding, biscuits from scratch and gravy from a package.

I've just finished a book and now I'm looking for what to read next. Normally I have chosen my next read before finishing my current read, but not now. And I don't know what I'm in the mood for. Actually, I'm in the mood for Stephen King, but I'm not in the mood for a reread, which makes reading a Stephen King impossible.

Try a Jack Kilborn.
If you want scary as in nightmare scary might I recommend Serial killers uncut.

And as to what I am doing, rearranging the library furniture and anything else I can think of to avoid shelving books.

I have a couple of his book, I will move them up my TBR list. I found a list of books Stephen King liked and chose The Three by Sarah Lotz, actually he recommended the sequel, Four Days, but I like to read a series in order.

I'm now watching The Oxford Murders, with John Hurt and Elijah Wood. It's okay-ish, except that one of the actors is dubbed, not sure if he dubbed himself or by another actor. It's very distracting.

Well I tried torturing the dog. He wound up torturing me instead. I got out that mean blue machine. Picked up everything off the floor including his stool to get on the couch, his blanket, his three throw pillows and all the jerky treats he had hidden under his blanket. I guess he didn't appreciate that because he proceeded to very quietly puke in the floor. Then he glared at me until I cleaned it up, ran the blue machine and put everything back.

My final vacation day.

I'm now waiting until the supermarket opens in half an hour to get breakfast. Later today I can open the door to the patio, it'll be sunny and about 19C, not as warm as earlier this week but nice enough.

I also plan to do some watercolouring, I brought all my stuff with me and only used it once, so I'll have another go today. The rest of the day I plan to read and watch some movies tonight.

Relaxing with a glass of wine after cooking, eating and clearing up after lunch.

It was Mrs B's birthday yesterday so I cooked her choice for Sunday lunch today. Roast lamb, roast potatoes, baby sweetcorn, cabbage, mushrooms baked in butter, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings, asparagus, gravy and mint sauce.

At least you weren't sewing or crocheting. Getting the threads mixed up is QUITE a bother, in those cases.
