The new one is lighter, has the comfort light of the Kobo Aura One, has the same water proofing as the Kobo Aura One, and does not have an SD card slot anymore.

It's basically a 6.8" version of the Aura One except it doesn't have overdrive support, and it's got an IR screen rather than that capacitive screen of the One.

It does have the increased internal storage like the One though.

I thought I had seen a photo of an opened H2O2. I was mistaken. There is no internal card slot.

Interesting tidbits from the review:
- Capacitive touchscreen, even with the raised bezel;
- Frontlight very even;
- Same battery as the old H2O (1500mAh);
- Memory soldered to the motherboard, it's a IPX8 requirement;
- There's a metal framework inside: the e-reader doesn't bend or creak, feels solid in the hand;
- Formed bubbles when he threw it into the pool, simply shaking it made them go away;

He also says it's got a bit more ghosting than the competition (Kindle and Tolino in this case), probably due to the lack of E-ink Regal technology. Was to be expected considering that the only Kobo reader to use Regal is the old Aura, but I'm still wondering why.

Maybe I'll buy a second h2o classic while they are still available

Edit: On the review closeup photo, you can see the same tracework grid that plagued the first Gen. aura. Maybe that will fix the accuracy problem, at least.. but I'll have to see on in person to judge the effect on contrast and sharpness.

An almost-comparison with the old H2O (in French): ping. Mostly talking, but not quite enough to conceal the unresponsiveness of the device.

talking about H2O first model how big was in terms of number of pages the biggest book that you have read with a single battery charge? can one battery charge give you the chance to read a big book as 1500 pages for example?
