I tried with a 16GB Sandisk card and got the result of the ereader registering that the card was there, and displaying its storage, but not showing any of the books in the library.

My two Sandisk 32GB cards are identical, yet one of them shows up in the reader's "device information" and the other one doesn't.

This leads me to think that instead of being an issue with one specific card size, maybe the problem is just some wonky storage formatting issue going on under the hood, and there's no quick solution. So I'm just gonna wait until they release a fix.

I have a problem with the reading statistics. Up to now I could see how many books I have read since I bought my KOBO AURA ONE (25 books in total). After installing this update, the statics only mention 5 books read in total....very strange....

Yes, collections have been sorted in the wrong order all this time

I don't know if it makes me weird, but it doesn't seem right to me. Largest collection first but smallest author first. It might be because with one swipe, I'm at the other end of the list. It's possible that the only reason I've used the number of book sort is for curiosity and testing various things.

I hope Kobo will fix it in the next firmware release.

Your Kobo is running an updated firmware/database version. As calibre does not know about this updated firmware, database editing is disabled, to prevent corruption. You can still send books to your Kobo with calibre,  but deleting books and managing collections is disabled. If you are willing to experiment and know how to reset your Kobo to Factory defaults, you can override this check by right clicking the device icon in calibre and selecting "Configure this device" and then the  "Attempt to support newer firmware" option. Doing so may require you to perform a factory reset of your Kobo.
Device database version: 141.
Device firmware version: (4, 4, 9298)


I add the firmware version to the driver, but I cant load more than 900 books because I get an error.

It seems that the new F/W is slightly less "bulky" than the previous ones: I have now 1.4 Gb available instead of 1.3 Gb on the One. I've been at this level for a while, adding books frequently, so I don't think it is just a frontier effect.

Nope. It's an issue with my 8GB card and I also tried a 2GB card which has worked in the past and that doesn't work either.

The issue of page numbers not incrementing and "time to read" remaining at 0 seconds seems to come and go at random intervals, which is very odd. I've reset the reader several times, and sometimes it happens, sometimes not. I'm going to ignore this problem for now and concentrate on the SD card issue. I think I'll go buy a cheap 8gb SD card today and see if that works.
