be careful! I changed my Affiliate code on my AuraOne and was given the JP 4.3.9084 and I was very happy till I noticed that it did not include the Overdrive module..

anyone have the list of affiliates so I can change my back and hopefully get my lending module back......

Thank you! That did the trick! I guess changing the affiliate back unhid the OverDrive module and allowed my to keep the newest firmware!

My KA1 still not finding the new firmware and sitting at 4.3.8945. Is this normal? I know that it depends on the affiliate, but I don't think that it's normal to stay on such a old firmware for so long. My affiliate is Kobo.

That is odd. You should be getting 4.3.8966. But you won't be getting 4.3.9084. That one you'll have to download and side load.

My Kobo is the exact same. (In terms of its firmware status. I haven't checked the affiliate.)

From my experience, some updates arrive at around the same time as other users on the site, other updates arrive a few days later, and some updates never arrive at all, and it's not until the next round of updates that I get mine. So based on that pattern, I would say that the status of our Kobos is normal.

While I am always eager to have the most "up-to-date" firmware, I don't know of any significant improvement 9084 has over 8945.

According to what some have said about 4.3.9084, the most noticeable change is that it's faster. Also, not all improvements can be seen. Fixes/enhancements can be under the hood where you don't see them.

There have been long threads about how various KA1s do not receive multiple versions over a long time period. Mine has not been offered an upgrade since 8945.

I haven't noticed the slightest difference between 4.3.8945, 4.3.8966 and 4.3.9084 on my Glo.

Kobo are trialing their new KoboPlus subsription service in a couple of countries, so these latest firmware updates could just be about fixing problems related to that.

On my H2O, I did notice that 4.3.8966 felt slightly faster than 4.3.8945. I've yet to install 4.3.9084.

I've noticed that in .9084 at least (I didn't check the last F/Ws), the experimental hidden feature to save words from the dictionary pop-up functioned less well than when I first tried it: words are visible immediately in the "my words" list (previously the device had to be shut down and restarted first), but they can't be called or deleted anymore.

My new KA1 arrived from Kobo with 4.1.7729 last week. So far, I've not received a firmware update.

Try again. Kobo have changed something so that you should get a 4.3.x firmware version. Probably not 4.3.9084 as that seems to be for Japan only. If there isn't a change, try again in another couple of hours or do it manually as JSWolf suggested.
