Hello, everybody!
Hi! I just joined recently as I was looking around for information on the kindle 2 and found this site to be the most helpful and enjoyable to browse.
I live in Pullman, WA which is a fairly small college town in eastern Washington. I graduated from WSU here with a degree in philosophy and ended up staying as I prefer the small town atmosphere with big town aspirations. AS I've gotten older, I've noticed that I spend less and less of my time playing video games and more time reading books. I think you'll understand if I say that I didn't think this would ever happen after trying to read Kant for a semester, but I find I get more satisfaction from reading than playing the latest FPS. Not that they don't still have some role to play in my life! So, I ended up purchasing the new Kindle and can barely contain myself waiting for it! Here's to a exciting new way to rediscover books! |

Well, welcome HHDumpling.
there is lots of info here for you, free books to download. You'll want the mobipocket format. I think you'll find our books better formatted than the free ones you can get on Amazon. Any questions, yell out. Someone will help. Did you know you can read library books on your Kindle? Without stripping DRM, and they just 'turn off' after the load period. Do I have your interest? |

Well, I was poking around at some of the other places I can get content, but I haven't run into anything about library books! So, yes. Yes, you have my interest. Where can I find these books?

Check the site below to see if you are near any library in Washington
http://search.overdrive.com/ You can also check the university library and hopefully they have ebooks they lend out. In most cases you get a library card and check out books from the comfort of your computer at home. The lending period is usually 14 or 21 days. |

Hi hhdumpling and welcome to the Forum.
I borrow books from the Fairfax (VA) library and it's easy (and free). Also check our WIKI for info on libraries here https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/EBook_Lending_Libraries |
