Stats are still going mad. Last night I read more than 200 hours and the book I read is on 6h (could be) but each reading session is 670min. long and I turned 28 pages. New record in slow reading

I contacted Kobo support on the issue of erratic reading stats. The support person told me to factory reset and update again. He also insisted that I have to use kepub to test the issue again. Since I read side-loaded epubs, I have no idea if there is no such stats issue with kepub ebooks.

EPUB books don't maintain stats.

The issue is confusing, as I sideload EPUB's as wel, but I've got the KoboTouchExtended driver configured in such a way that it will convert the books to KEPUB on the fly. So, you can indeed sideload EPUB's, and then end up with KEPUB on the reader without noticing, thinking you're reading EPUB's but actually, you're not

I broke my old kobo and bought a KA1 to replace it. When I logged in to Kobo i was under the impression that my stats had been uploaded over the time as those awards were. but found out that my 900 hours of reading over the last 2 years were reset to 0. I use all kepubs, most sideloaded, and my version number on my new Aura is 4.1.7729.

You need to read kepubs purchased and synced from Kobo to have them track statistics other than the number of books read. But not to worry, with some of the complaints about recent firmware, you'll have 900 hours read within a week after you update.

The stats are maintained for epubs. But, you don't get the in-book stats such as time left for the current chapter and the next chapter. If you are reading an epub and go to the reading stats, it will show the stats for the epub. The totals, book finished and hours read, include epubs and should include other formats.
