I imagine the Max Carta and Max 2 would be (approx.) the same dimensions.

Booxter, do you already have a (prototype) Onyx Boox Max Carta at home? If yes could you create a short review of the device so that we can see what is different?

There is another video explaining that the second screen device was the Max Carta https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZTGULb4w54 I am very curious if the new software and the cable will fit the original Max. There is either a special cable with electronics inside or the usb circuit in the Max Carta has different capability (like MHL in Samsung phones). | |

Thanks for posting this video. whoever said that the slow CPU 'doesn't matter', look at the huge lag when he selects text. that's not just display refresh (right?)

The quoted battery life and battery capacity seems quite strange for an ereader. Specifically, 20 days looks very short if it has a 4100 mAh battery. Is that normal for Onyx devices? |

I think it depends on the average use that you do with this device. I own a 6" ereader from Onyx and the battery lasts the usual infinite amount. With the Max though, apart from the bigger screen (which I guess will take its toll on the battery) you're more likely to use wifi on a daily basis, open pdfs (which take more power to be rendered, especially if they're big) and so on. With this kind of usage the battery definitely lasts less than if you were just reading epubs on an ereader. Battery life is still pretty long honestly.

Exactly. Actually I own the Max and I can confirm that selecting paragraphs in pdf is that slow whilst selecting paragraphs in epub is still slow but almost natural.

OK. The only reason I asked is that when companies publish battery lifetime figure in days, there's normally a footnote saying what conditions it's applicable to. Eg Amazon quote Kindle battery lifetimes based on half an hour's reading a day with WiFi turned off.
