This all comes down to simple statements: Could they do it quicker? Probably. Should they do it quicker? I have no idea.

Just to make Peter's day, the major discussion on some sites I keep an eye on is getting the Windows 10 Creator's update without waiting. Some have sensible suggestions on how to get the update faster while others offer advice that amount to "at midnight on a full moon while sky-clad, sacrifice a black rooster then dance 13 times widdershins around an oak tree". For those who might be interested, see How to get the Windows 10 Creators Update without the wait for one of the sensible sites. It would appear that Microsoft is not making the update available to everyone at the same time. |

And who should determine just when a new update is to be considered reliable? You or Kobo? I'm guessing that they try and get stable firmware out to people as prudently and expediently as possible. Can't imagine how it would serve their interests to keep some people waiting longer than necessary to receive a stable firmware update. And they do make it possible for those who want to get the update early to do so. Perhaps you could explain why you seem to think that Kobo deliberately keeps some people waiting longer than others? What do you see in it for them in doing so? |

After releasing a new or updated product, vendors often (re)assess based on user feedback. As mentioned before, there's nothing egregious with Kobo. |

A desire to find out "why" Kobo provides valued updates to some users and withholds multiple updates over several weeks to other users.

Which has been covered many times before, please search the forums. You say you don't have the time, yet you've got the time to draw out this conversation. If something interests you, then research it. |

Please. He's told you several times he doesn't have time for that. And yeah, I don't see the point either. It's one thing when the person who asks questions is willing to try and understand and accept the answers when they are given, but since that isn't the case here, the only point of asking seems to be a misguided attempt to get Kobo's attention. In a forum filled with Kobo users. Not making sense. |

S, not sure what you're trying to say here. It is incumbent to be diligent to answer direct questions. And the answers have largely been fruitful. Maybe this is wrong, but the impression is that this is a user's board and that Kobo cannot be expected to look in here. If you have other information, it would be of interest. |

And here I thought that it was rather obvious... Quote:
Kobo may or may not check in with what users are posting here. However, if one has a direct question for Kobo, methinks it would be incumbent upon one to pose that question to them directly. It might be more fruitful than hankering after suppositions.
