reading state now available on kobo.com

Hi there, Just a heads up that you can now view and edit (mark a book as read, unread) your reading state on kobo.com. Just hit the "..." option beside any book to see the options. Reading state is located just below the book in grid view, and in a column in the list view. Screenshot attached. Please PM me or post a reply in this thread if you have any issues so we can forward to our dev team. Thanks for all your feedback and support to date! We're working hard to address issues so keep them coming, we're listening. Brodie |

An interesting addition which I'm sure will be useful for some. Would be really nice if Kobo had a wishlist function on the site, had digital gift cards in the US again and would provide a way to tailor recommendations. |

Would be nice if Kobo opened up their service for sideloaded books (and I know many of you think otherwise, but I still think it would be nice)

You mean like Google & Amazon? I don't know if I'd use it or not, but yes it would be a nice thing & I'd think a selling point for some.

My biggest frustration is the terrible search function. When i am looking for a new book i frequently get 1000s of results. I like to read series and there should definitely be way to filter results in series order. For instance jack reacher i have to go through pages to look for my next read. Furthermore I have to look in my library before searching to see what my latest read in series was as it doesn't show up next to book ie buy/read/already purchased. Other series like Donna Leon's brunetti it appears half the books in the series are not there. It really makes me think it's time to cave in and get a Kindle. I don't want to side load as i cant be bothered. |

It would also be nice to be able to set a language preference in account settings to only display books in English etc

It would be great if, after buying a book, the page had a link to your library, (or even better, the same library listing of the books you just bought.). Instead I have to either click on the Rakuten Logo to go back to home page, (or find the link that says continue shopping), and from there find the drop down menu to go to library. It is, oddly, the most user unfriendly format of any e-book store. Sorting library by date added was, at least, a huge improvement. |

I totally agree with you and is something I've wanted to see changed for a while (a consistent header on the thank you page, plus a few other areas where it doesn't match). It's in the queue but TBH we're focusing on some much bigger improvements at the moment which are keeping us busy. If only we could clone our developers -- Quick question: why do you want to go to your library? I assume it's to download the book? Can you comment? thanks, Brodie

I was sure I have clicked a link after buying a book to go to the library, but it's been a few weeks since I bought a book, so I wasn't sure.
