There isn't any processing on style attribute other than to keep it or remove it. You'd have to use some other tool to edit the ebook. I don't know of any tool (aside from editing by hand in Calibre's Edit book tool) that will keep underline while removing other styles.

Plus, in the 4246 story, a lot of what you see there is from font tags, not style attributes. You can try removing the font tags by adding this to personal.ini:

Hi! I really love Fanficfare plugin but recently I can't seem to upload the updated chapters of a fanfic I'm reading on my Paperwhite. Is there a step I might be missing?

Are you converting to azw3? Kindles require their own proprietary formats.

There seems to be a problem after updating to Calibre 2.80.0

While downloading new books, sometimes it shows the error 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'a', sometimes 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'div', also 'NoneType' object has no attribute '__getitem__'

There is no consistency of these errors. Sometimes the story download is successful, sometimes not.

I have a question in regards to replacing metadata.

I have this in my personal.ini:

    characters,ships=>Arya S\.=>Arya Stark&&category=>a song of ice and fire

I would like it add "Game of Thrones" as well as a second fandom is that possible?

That way I would only have to do metadata for both of them once.

Sorry, I'm pretty new at this.

Calibre will only convert the ebook format on send-to-device if it doesn't have a compatible ebook format already.

If you updated your epub version with FFF, but didn't re-convert it to azw3, Calibre is probably sending an out dated version to your device.

FanFicFare has a couple options to help with that, one that deletes other ebook formats and one that automatically starts Calibre Convert on each downloaded/updated ebook:



I use a Kindle and I keep both options turned on.

For the auto-convert, you also need to the default Convert output format to azw3 in Calibre's Preferences.
