What's New in This Version

Introduced user fonts for EPUB viewers
- Install your own fonts via “PC Upload”, which talks to your PC web browser wirelessly
- Allow a font display name that is different from the font family name embedded in the font file(s), thereby enabling display of font names in non-ASCII characters, such as non-English European characters, Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters, and other Unicode characters
- Uninstall unwanted user fonts directly from the Text Font or Heading Font menu

Added other features
- System Settings option to automatically hide controls on a book page turn or scroll
- Display of the user-defined sets of each book in its Book Info Metadata View
- Dimming of the book icon when it is pressed or long pressed in Library Bookshelf View
- EPUB context menu More option “Implicit Copy” to facilitate pasting text into another app referred by “Set My Dictionary” or “Set My Command” using URL schemes with unknown or incomplete parameters
- Some minor tuneup

I have MapleRead CX on both my iPhone 6S Plus and on my Ipod Touch.
I successfully installed a font on the ipod but when I tried to install it on the iphone I get this error:

Font installation failed.
Can't install a font file embedding a font family name that is already taken.

I tried it with a different font and got the same message.

Bravo! This simply exceeds my expectation! No need for file transfer via tethered iTunes. Freedom to display my CJK font names. With the ease of use of this font installation model, I have tested over 20 different font families in minutes, and they all work as expected. The info/error messages and FAQ are very helpful in correcting my own pilot errors. No other iOS apps come close to your elegant solution for user fonts!

Just in case you haven't noticed yet, with the latest version (1.6.5) of MapleRead, you may consult FAQ "Can I specify a web browser app for My Dictionary or My Command? If yes, how?", and make Set My Dictionary point to

{safari}http://www.ordbogen.com/opslag.php?word={text}&dict=enda

so that you'll have the full window of Safari.

and I do get a translation in the small window in Maplereader.
The problem is that the service is a paid subscription and from time to time I have to login, and this I can't do in the small browser window in Maplereader.

I then tried to move the command to Set My Command. And now the translation appears in Safari and that is perfect for me.
Consequently I moved the Map command comgooglemaps://?q={word} to Set My Dictionary where it also works very well.

I will therefore suggest the following:

Make it possible to specify a new title in Set My Dictionary as in Set My Command

OR better

Make it an option to specify to use Safari in Set My Dictionary.

But again thank you for an excellent app.

For each iOS device:
What is the supposedly new (embedded) font family name you're trying to install?
What are the existing user font names?
What is the iOS version?

- Added switch Dim Header/Footer to conditionally dim header and footer for EPUB Modern styles [2]
- Enhanced independent Backup and Restore operations to also cover user fonts [3]

I had the font installed in another app. I installed a similar font on MapleRead and it worked fine

Thank you for the 4th feature release in the first 3 months of 2017 so far!

It's nice to see youe new iPad Pro support update ahead of the new iPad Pro 2 models anticipated to be out this month. Judging from your team's active development history, I have now even more confidence that your app will be in step with the upcoming iOS devices. You'll have my full support as a fan!

The dimmable header/footer feature is well implemented. I have tested it with many different text colors.

May I suggest another feature. It would be very nice to have the IOS Share option on the list of context menu items.

Maybe as an option like Show Translate, Show Copy and Show My Command
That is it would be very nice with an option Show Share

The share command will make it simple to transfer the selected text to notes, mail etc.

How about adding similar capabilities for sharing individual highlighted text and annotation in the Notes View too?
