Ready for Kindle 2 forum section? - Page 2

I flew south for the winter. Obviously there are some pages missing from my calendar 'cause it's still cold and rainy... even here in SoCal.

Rain is great for the duck pond though. The water line had dropped a little too low.

I came back to bask in the warm glow of Kindle love.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one not quite feeling the love. Like the Kindle, fine. Hate the Kindle, that's fine, too. But, golly, the Kindle hatin' is awfully tiresome - and folks wonder why there aren't more Kindle users on this forum

Kinda off topic but I believe there are few Kindle owners posting on MobileRead because there are so many other places to post that are just for the Kindle. The Amazon forums, KindleBoards, Kindle yahoo groups, there's a Kindle Social Networking site and more message boards popping up all of the time.

I don't *think* (I don't really know) that other readers have as many posting outlets.

Me, I'm a geek and like to know what's happening with everyone. I'm glad there are so many choices of readers because if we were all the same, it would be boring.

You're kidding, right? How has this site kept Kindle users away?

I've found nothing but helpful advice and lots of that here.

Anyone who seriously wants help and is willing to work just a little can find it here.

I've also 'fought back' on those who called the Kindle 'fugly'.

No one calls baby 'fugly, no one!

(well, except for maybe the new Kindle2)

Absolutely. The Kindle opened up ebooks to many, many people who (unlike the majority of folks here) were never aware of other alternatives. The other fora serve their needs well.

You are quite right, I felt the same in the past (funny, considering that I am an admin here and I should know better). I think it was a typical reaction of technology-minded folks who were suddenly confronted with their favorite pasttime going mainstream.

Either way, I hope this bad feeling is gone and that we can now all embrace the Kindle love.

How about: the Kindle is so easy to use, that us users have moved on and joined the SILLINESS in the Forum. That's my excuse for not saying much about my Kindle!
