But the old one is now messed up. I can see all of my preview books in my new library, but about a third of them is missing from my old. The other day I could not download from the old library.

I don't know what it is with large cover displays across the majority of book sites lately. If they think it's more user friendly, it's not. It takes huge amount of screen and instead of staying in one place longer you have to keep going.
These are not art-for-sale sites. These are book sites. Give me TAGS instead of pretty half naked heroes and heroines. And there is that "don't judge a book by its cover" saying...............

I wish there was a WISH list. Right now I am keeping all of my wish books in my TRASH and apart from my purchased books. I do hold on to my purchases, it functions as my book cloud.

If you're talking about the new library, there's a list view.

There's a wishlist on devices, but not on the website.

Which is incredibly lame. They really should figure out how to do both.

I agree. I never shop on my device so I'm not going to save anything to that wishlist. On the other hand, if I could make the wishlist on the website and see it on my Kobo, then I might actually buy something from it.

Or make it on the device and shop from it on the website, which is what I would do.

Hi there,

We're planning to have the wishlist on kobo.com by mid year (pending development timelines). Totally agree this is long overdue! I'll post a note when it's available.

Thanks for the patience,

Brodie

Some people updating their devices to the new firmware are having problems with their collections disappearing.

Some have posted about it here...

That, essentially.

I had several pages of collections created in Calibre and side-loaded onto the H2O. The firmware update erased them all. Don't misunderstand, the books are still on the reader... just not organized in collections anymore.

How on earth did you miss this in testing? Side-loaded, yes, I can see missing that. But several in that thread have reported losing collections created on their Kobo account, with books bought through Kobo. How do you miss that?

Between 3.19 and the 4.x firmware, there has been a big change in the way the library has been downloaded from the Kobo server. There has probably been enough in there for some strange things to happen. Some of the people who have lost their collections have reported that they came back on the next sync or by using the repair account function. That suggests to me that the first sync done after the device was updated didn't complete. It was probably in a step that was supposed to rebuild the collections when it stopped. And the next sync fixed that.

But, as you are talking about sideloaded books and the collections, it is a little different. The collections names sync, and any purchased book in them sync, but not the sideloaded books. Why they disappeared, I don't know, but I would love to look at a database from a device where this has happened. I have no idea if I will be able to see what happened of fix it, but, it will satisfy my curiosity.

Me, I don't remember seeing any problems on any of my devices. I've been running the different 4.x firmware for a while. But, I don't pay that much attention to the collections. I let calibre do the maintenance, so if the collections disappeared, they would be fixed the next time I connected to calibre. The connection jobs would take a little longer than usual, but unless I was in a hurry, I probably wouldn't notice.
