I hate it when updates change my settings to default. It happens often with the Tapatalk app, it seems like I have to change the setting to open the MR to the forum view on a weekly basis. Every once in a while the Huffington Post app will forget my favourite categories and it seems that Windows has an annoying tendency to revert the setting of default programs (which app to use with what file type) back to it's original settings.

I am so with you. Apps resetting themselves are a PITA. It's especially annoying if you don't have your password handy.

A chap I talked to years back told about a big construction project in Montreal. Most of the construction workers would be French-speaking Quebecois, so someone decided to import French-speaking foremen from Paris.

It wasn't long before the Parisians were sent back home and English speaking foremen were hired so it would at least be explicit that two different languages were in use.

My aunt felt the need for a family dinner and guess who my parents volunteered to organise it. And guess who is now refusing to do so.

I'm not going through the whole "we want our father (my uncle) to be there" stuff again. It gave my anxiety attacks and I'm sorry, but my messed up family isn't worth that. Plus, I'm not sure if I want to go to the dinner (mostly because I know I will get annoyed with my uncle's children, who sit together and hardly interact with the rest of the family).

My mother tried sucking up, telling me that I did such a good job organising the come together last September to scatter my grandmother's ashes. I acted surprised, telling her that I didn't do a good job, my sister did (I did all the work, my sister got all the credit). Now my mother is disappointed (probably scared she has to organise it herself).

Personally I think it's best if one of my aunt's children arranges it. Although they side with my father about the whole Family Thing they are more neutral than I am.

Yes, I had worn them many times. Now my mother on occasion tried to wear them but they didn't fit her. That was more of a "she would forget which pair was hers". Only one size difference. We had opposite colors.

This is very much a first world problem, but it is very annoying.

I'm working away from home for three nights next week. So I decided to download a few episodes of a series we've been watching to see me through the lonely hotel nights. We've watched episode one, so I thought I'd download the other nine episodes in the series.

Guess what? I can download all the other episodes, bar episode seven of ten. Why? Why would you make all the episodes of a series available bar one in the middle of the run?

In case people are interested, it's series two of The Tunnel; it's very good.

Being the age I am now, of course, I can understand that. But I know that had my mother absconded with my lacy underthings, when I was of an age when she'd have been around to steal them, I'd have been horrified and scandalized, of course. She wasn't absconding but attempting to trade. Of course when I was 14, mom and I shared a bedroom and the closet. That on occasion led to where is a blouse I wanted to wear it.

Now the woman that stole them didn't even date.
