Yes, I also told them I'd like the default sort to be by date added to the library.

I did post a comment on their send us your thoughts link. I told them I found the date purchased sort the most useful. Maybe if others feel the same they could go to their Library page and send kobo their thoughts, please.
Hi there,

We're working on this currently and hope to have the date added field available within the next week or two, so hang tight!

Thanks for all your feedback posted here and on kobo.com, we read every response that comes through so keep them coming!

I just looked at my Library page for the first time in ages and I've been switched over.

I'll give Kobo credit: the little tour they set up was actually quite useful. For example, it explicitly points you at the three-dot menu to export your books.

I am now on the new library screen as well, and I don't see anything obviously wrong with it... Aside from the glaring lack of purchase date and no ability to sort by said date.

Because no one has ever wanted or needed to sort their books by purchase order, right?

Someone did not think this one through all the way.

Oh, they've added a tour? That's good. I panicked before finding out about that menu here.

I'm still using the old library screen, nicely sorted by date, as there's a link to it at the top of the page. I'm going to carry on using it until they remove the link. Do you have this?

I do, and it's what I'm using now. I really hope they don't turn that feature off until they've added a date column to the new screen.

The trash tab in my old library has stopped working, trying to access it takes me to an error page: http://www.kobobooks.com/error.aspx. This is a problem because there is no way to delete anything from the archive in the new library.

This is a problem for me, especially because I look at previews to see what I think, and often what I think is, "I want to delete this crappy book from my library."

I can still get to the trash tab in my old library. And it still works as expected here in the US. I was able to save a preview, delete it, then delete forever from trash. I do still have a couple other books in there that I'm not quite ready to permantly delete. Maybe those are keeping the trash tab available for me.

I hope it's not a sign that they're going to remove the old library soon. The new library is soooo not ready. Even after all this time.

They have added the ability to delete items from the archive in the new library. I was finally able to delete a whole lot of free books and previews that were cluttering up my archive; I might even start using the new library now, instead of immediately switching to the old one.

As best as I can tell, though, you have to do it one-by-one on their web site. The new library seems to be missing a "select all" or multi-select option.

Until the new library has a sort by date option, or at least defaults to sorting by date instead of title, I'll keep using the old library.

Not quite. I would still like the ability to select multiple books for deletion when cleaning old previews out. For me, this has become a bigger issue with Overdrive integration since a returned library book is replaced by a preview as a placeholder for annotations.
