What is the latest firmware version available?
Hi, can someone tell me what version and data of the firmware (called the 'software' on the Aura HD) that is the latest you are able to get? I can't get a version later than December 2015.

Actually, it doesn't. It's not been updated in too long. So the firmware versions since the Aura One was released are not part of the first & second messages.

Except the OP was asking about the Aura HD. So the post is up to date.

@peterbryan23: You have actually answered your own question. If you sync the device, it will get any update available to your device. If it doesn't update, then there is no newer firmware for your device. And the last release for the Aura HD was early January 2016 and the date would be in December.

Very good idea! I could never figure out why there was important information buried in a forum thread instead of an editable wiki page.

I've pulled the details from the main firmware thread and made a first pass. I felt it needed a Notes column to list the hardware exceptions.

To do:
  • The remaining 4.x firmware versions need to be added.
  • Are there separate pages describing the original Touch and Touch LC models?

I just found this page Kobo Releases which may have information that could be merged into this mega table. It needs updating for the Aura ONE and Aura Edition 2.

My Aura HD has been working pretty much perfect for the last year. So good in fact that I put on a "non-fully-supported" version just to spice things up. Unfortunately everything seems to work as well.... bummer....

I'm running 4.2.8110 now.
