Hiya Kids! I am new to the world of fat finger frustration, or touch screen devices. I have a Laptop, a 7" RCA Tablet, and an Alcatel smart phone.

I am looking forward to the interactions with those more experienced than I.

Mainly these days I enjoy Science Fiction.

I used to read books on Computer Programming back in the 80s/90s. Sort of an avocation. I recently got a free development system for Android. If it does not look too difficult/tedious I may try my hand at writing an App or two. It depends how much work is involved. I have a web page with my Windows PC freeeware. It would be fun to add a few Android Apps to it eventually.

But I am not looking to spam my page or anything. I mostly share programs I wrote for myself. My main motivation getting into Tablets and readers is to avoid carrying heavy stuff around just to have something to read handy. In only a few days I have 100+ free drm-free books in the library. So that is very encouraging.

Well, come to think of it, a good chunk of those were downloaded over several months. But since I got the Tablet and we went off Daylight Savings Time, I am more motivated to search them out. Tough to read in the dark.

It did not occur to me that the word free would automatically be translated into illegal download. I speak of public domain works such as those found in Project Guttenburg. Not an auspicious start when you get the guilty until proven innocent treatment.

Maybe here is not a fun place for rational people after all.

Not what I meant. I meant some of the free books on Amazon aren't worth the time it took to get them. Nothing illegal at all. Just some free books aren't good enough to read.

Relax. No one is attacking you. The ones who display consistent, irrational behavior are quickly given a bus ticket. (Plane tickets are too expensive!)
