Better Catalog
If there was a way to create a catalog with a title always set to the name and current path of the library, and the fields set to "all" or it would be more helpful when trying to create csv's of libraries.
I use catalog csv's to keep track of older libraries and since they are most always different from each other, going through and renaming the catalog for each one, as well as making sure each column is represented is a pain. I can't tell you how many times I have started creating a catalog only to realize that a field I had selected on previous library had been unchecked for the current one. Also, if I am not vigilant the names get forgotten and then the older catalogs are replaced, or the current one is impossible to find. So, a check box to "select all" for fields and a "Folder Path" for title would be a great idea for those who want it all. |

Moderator Notice Post moved from Plugin suggestions to here. The Catalog function is built in, it isn't an optional plugin nor is there any need for one. To get what you want would be best done via a change to baseline calibre. You could make a formal enhancement request here Bugs : calibre BR |
