P, prepare yourself...my experience with the Houston and County libraries is that the ebooks amost always have a waiting list. And I virtually never receive an email saying the reserved ebook has come available. . . . . Pete |

@Pjama /cheer for finding your ereader! I have memberships at the Round Rock and Houston libraries, and I can typically find things to read while I'm on wait the hold list for other books. I try to queue up a bunch of holds so I can a bunch in the pipeline. The key so far is trying to time them out so I don't get a bunch of books come available at the same time! |

Does anyone know how to access my Overdrive wish list through the Kobo app? Or do I just have to go to my computer for that? I made a long list! Planning to spend the rest of the morning reading with any luck. The Moko cover I bought does activate the sleep functionality, by the way. Sorry I don't know how to pull two or more quotes otherwise I would have replied to Pete here too.

Click one or more multi-quote buttons to select, then click quote on the last post you want to quote to get them all in. See attached screenshot for illustration.

1. Click the Multi-Quote button on the post that contains the text you want to include. 2. Repeat step #1 as needed for each post you want to quote. 3. Go to the last post, and click the New Reply button in the far bottom left. 4. The multi-quotes will appear in the reply. If needed, edit out any text you don't want (e.g., someone had a long post and you only want to include part of their response in your reply). 5. If you want, click after the first [ / QUOTE ] tag, add a return line, and type your response. Repeat as needed for each quote. 6. Finish typing up your reply, and click Submit Reply.

Just got my Kobo Aura One today (a day late.) First impressions... I previously owned a Kobo Aura H20. In comparaison, it feels much lighter. The screen looks so much larger. With the simple hack : [FeatureSettings] FullScreenReading=true Getting full page on that device is sweet. The screen looks a bit more "white cream" than "white blue" like my previous Aura H20. I've put some books on it, with Calibre. Many thanks to the makers of Kepub Output and Kobo Touch Extended ! Couldn't live without those. I'm letting it charge now (it was at around 43%.) It will be fun to read tonight. |

Claude_C I got mine today too, and I've downloaded three books from Overdrive. It is bliss to read on after the small Voyage. Thanks dmapr and kansaskyle, I will try to follow these instructions... sometime. I've found the multiquote button now thanks to you. |

I've got my new Aura One few days ago. So happy to have such a large screen. Updated to firmware 4.2.8283 by Kobo Desktop. Not satisfied, I'll send it back to my reseller tomorrow : - The autonomy problem is not solved (for me), in sleep mode, battery is empty in one day! - 8 Gb is not enough for me (6.8 GB in fact, not 8). Scrolling in list view to generate all the cover images do not allow more than 4000 books. More space used by the cover images than by the books themselves! I'm happy with my Aura H2O. I'll buy a new Kobo when a SD port will be added or at least 16 or 32 GB native and with no autonomy problem. |

I updated two Aura Ones to 4.2.8283 without doing a factory reset, and both of them (one is my daughter's) have noticeably better battery performance. I actually read an entire book on one charge. I still wish they'd use a bigger battery, but I can live with this.

Maybe. Some have installed 4.1.7729 (the big battery update) over stock and it fixed the battery drain problem. For others, including myself, it did not until we performed factory resets on our ONEs and immediately installed the update. Quote:

Woke up this morning, its was at 84%. No wifi, no auto-sync. No sleep cover. So, I guess it's fine, if you consider that Kobo says that the battery is suppose to last 1 month if you read only 30 minutes per day. That gives around 15 hours of reading time.
