I voted dedicated reader, but I do use both. I'm loving my new paperwhite for reading in the evenings, especially, so much to the point that I gave my daughter my tablet.
Occasionally, I will read on my phone, if my Kindle is not with me, but for the most part, the dedicated reader gets the attention.

I no longer carry my Kindle wherever I go. These days the Kindle is for reading at home. Whenever I'm out, I pick up right where I left off on my phone's Kindle app.

10 inch Android tablet and my android smartphone. Dedicated e readers have their charms I have two of them, but any more, Android devices are more convenient for me.

Well, if you have Yotaphone, it's actually both at the same time.

I don't really like reading on my iphone and reading on the ipad sucks. So it's still the Kobo for me wherever I go.

What's wrong with reading on your iPhone or iPad?

I use both. Mostly read on my Kindle Voyage at home, and when at work and out and about, I use my iphone (Kindle app).

Sometimes I'll switch to my Kobo Glo HD, but the lack of syncing of sideloaded books kind of kills that for me.

The iPhone(5s) screen is too small and the iPad Mini is just too weird. Not to mention the Kobo app doesn't work that well for me.

Phone is all I need

I can't bear the thought of lugging one more piece of stuff around when I already carry a perfectly adequate device. Very happy to have my library snuggled darkly in my pocket.

When I go out, it's my phone. I keep my Kindle at home. My Kindle is only second to my phone as my favorite gadget.

Since I am mostly at home, I prefer my Kindle.

All of the above.
I have a Kindle Keyboard and an Amazon Fire tablet. I prefer reading on e-ink. I'll use the phone if I'm desperate.
