Suggested extra option for Add Cover

When I'm working on a specific author, I create a folder with a cover page--file name "cover.jpg", a blank title page, basic copyright page, blank table of contents with plenty of links so that I only need to remove the extras, blank chapter 1 page, Author page, credits, and back page (structured like the cover), make sure any ancillary graphics images are in the folder too, and my style sheet. Click + on a basic e-book created from a Word file with Writer2Epub, add all the files, and copy the text into their correct files as necessary, import the cover image and rename it to "cover" as I set the semantics, and it's done. The advantage I see is, all the books for each author are identical in format. I know that sounds complicated, but the whole thing takes about five minutes.

Maybe I'm working too hard, but that's what works for me.

Doesn't sound like working too hard to me. Templating is smart. I'm surprised no one's created an import plugin that allows users to start from customized templates that can be "primed" with a minimum of input from the users (author, title, cover image). Title pages, tocs/navs, dedications, "about-the-author's, css, etc... all dummied up, linked in, and ready for editing. *shrug*

Since Sigil already supports custom custom sgc-toc.css and sgc-nav.css stylesheets in the Sigil preferences folder for HTML and NAV TOC files, how about implementing a similar method for blank CSS stylesheets? I.e., have Sigil look for a default Style0001.css file in the Sigil preferences folder and if it exists, use its contents for newly-created stylesheets.
You might even bundle Sigil with an all-purpose stylesheet. For example CSS Boilerplate for eBooks or your own favorite stylesheet.
