Is there any way to keep the description on the title page, without having the Summary label? The only distinction I would like between everything else and the description is <hr/>, which I can get, but it stays with the label format and shows up as <b><hr/>:</b>

If there is no easy way, it will be no problem for me to fix it manually. I know I can be quite nitpicky sometimes...like my obsessive need to try and align everything on the titlepage every couple of months LOL

Look for titlepage_no_title_entry on this wiki page. Because apparently it's come up before. I didn't remember that either.

Sorry, another quick question...

I have 3 labels that I want a double <br /> at the end (Status, Packaged, Publisher). The rest should only have a single <br />. Can I just define them as titlepage_entry1 and titlepage_entry2, or would that cause a problem?

It's not designed to allow for different titlepage_entry values for different metadata entries.

But you can have still different appearance for different metadata entries using CSS:

## apply metadata entry name as class to a surrounding div...
titlepage_entry:<div class="${id}"><b>${label}:</b> ${value}</div>

## apply different CSS to only these entries:
add_to_output_css:
 div .status, .site, .dateCreated { margin-bottom: 1em; color: blue; }

Note that Publisher==site. And that I made them blue to make sure I could see them.

Hmm I'm not understanding that at all right now. Sometimes I just have to do, see the result, then I'll get it. That will have to wait until tomorrow though.

When I add stories with authors who has and as a part of their name it sometimes separates the name in 2 parts. Is there anyway to stop that? It also happens when I copy a story from one library to another.

The code works, (I took out the blue though ), but I think in my case just continuing to add the second <br/> manually will end up working better. Picking out the parts I need to edit (if later just one bit changes and I don't update the fic but just change that one thing) is too difficult when it's all jumbled together in one long block and mixed in with long tags. If I have to fix that up manually anyway, may as well just add that <br/> to the existing format and have done.

It was worth a shot though, and I absolutely do appreciate the time you took to provide that code. I love FFF and that you go out of your way when we ask something, usually going above and beyond if it's in any way possible.

That's something Calibre does for you. You can control whether Calibre does it using the Prefs Tweak authors_split_regex.

FanFicFare already does db.set_authors() instead of depending on db.set_metadata() because authors in a MetaInformation object get split. If you can give a sequence of steps that causes the author to be split from FFF directly (and not from manipulating in Calibre afterwards), I'll look into it.

You could get FFF to help you out by replacing ' and ' in author names with something else, like 'And' (without spaces). "0x0xLOVE and WARx0x0" to "0x0xLOVEAndWARx0x0" for example.
