				MR SE 1.6.2 crash problems

I've noticed two things with 1.6.2: First it crashes more frequently than earlier versions, about once per day or 2 days. Second when I relaunch MR SE after a crash, it no longer goes to the book (and page) that was open, but just to the top of the active set. I then have to scroll to the book I was reading, open it, then try to find the page I was on when the crash happened. Again, I don't remember this happening in earlier versions. |

Can you provide more details on how we may reproduce the bug? Sending us more info via email is also ok, if you prefer. Thanks. |

Actually I don't know if it can be reproduced as it is intermittent. Device: iPad Mini 3 running iOS 10.1.1 It seems to be spontaneous as I'll just be reading and all of a sudden MR SE crashes back to my iPad's Home Page. I tap on the app to launch it and it comes up to my regular set of books, but at the top of the sort (author+series) with last names beginning with "A". Since I've been read authors whose last name starts with "S", I have to scroll down almost to the end. I tap on the book I was reading and it opens as if it hadn't been open previous to the crash. Does MR SE generate any sort of crash log? |

Crashed when reading in portrait or landscape orientation? in Classic Book, Modern Book or Modern Scroll view? when turning a page, or just sitting there? If your iPad allows app crash reports to be sent to Apple, then Apple should pass them to developers (like us) via its server. But usually we can't tell from the anonymous crash report what events actually caused the crash. There is an easier way to re-open the book last read. In Library view, sort by Date Read, and the book should be at the top. |

Portrait (I always read in portrait) Classic Book Hmmm, I want to say just reading but I can't rule out when turning a page; I just don't remember exactly. I'll have to see about iOS crash reports; on my Mac the Mac OS pops up a dialog box asking if I want to send a report. Duh! Didn't think of that - thanks! |

FYI To share crash data with iOS developers In Settings, tap Privacy. Scroll to the bottom and tap Diagnostics & Usage. If necessary, tap the Share With App Developer switch to enable it. |

Thanks - it was set to "Don't Send" I've enabled it and if the crash happens again we'll see if I get the dialog box asking me if I want to send a notice. |

OK, MR SE crashed today and I wrote down what happened 1. Reading book 2. Launched Safari to look up something 3. Double-clicked Home button on iPad to bring up open apps 4. Tapped on MR SE 5. Page being read came up, MR SE "crashed" to active set, then relaunched the book to the cover, not the last page being read. IIRC, prior to 1.6.2 it would come back up to the page. 6. No crash report dialog came up; probably because app did not crash back to iOS. |

				Custom sort

I can't get this to work. When I sort by author the custom order selection is grayed out. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone else have this problem?

Custom Order for User-define Book Sets

At that point, do all sort menu items (Title, Author,...) including "Custom Order" become grayed out? Are you browsing books in Hierarchical mode? If yes, that happens at the "second" level, and this behavior is expected.

				Custom order

Yes that was the problem. I can pick custom order but now I have a dumb question. How do I actually reorder the books? Thanks for all your help.

After you have selected Sort by Custom Order, tap Edit, and then Reorder.
