I can always order the backpack and try it. I can get a full refund when I return it. However, I'd rather not go through the hassle and time if it doesn't fit. I'd rather spend that time looking for another backpack. To be honest, if I didn't love their Autumn Leaf (orange/brown) colour so much I would have been looking for another bag already. |

The webshop asked Fjallraven (which I already did myself, as stated in the email) and were told it probably wouldn't fit (like they told me), and they didn't measure it themselves, as I asked them to do. Yes, Fjallraven has backpacks which fit up to 17 inch laptops, but they are about €100 more expensive than the Foldsack No. 1. And I thought €130 was a very expensive backpack, I'm not going to pay over €200 for a backpack I don't use very often. Plus the whole point was getting a smaller backpack not an even bigger one. Back to trawling webshops it is. |

I hate that sort of stuff. Why don't they just put measurements on the website? I see it a lot, where only general indications are given, or measurements are omitted.
"Fits an XX inch laptop" is useless information, because the screen size has nothing to do with the size of the laptop apart from stating its *minimum* size, which would be 34.5cm wide x 19.4cm deep, if we had the 'perfect' laptop with no bezels and a hinge that uses no space. My Dell Precision is 37.8cm wide x 26.1cm deep, and and 2.7 to 3.3cm thick. This is a workstation type laptop, and as huge as a 15.6 will come. If this one fits, basically every 15.6 inch laptop made in the last 10 years will fit. If they only made the compartment size to fit a 15.6 inch ultrabook, you'd looking more at sizes like 35-36cm wide, 20-21cm deep, and 1.0 to 1.5cm thick. |

More Healthcare.gov woes...
Note: this bitch and moan is NOT POLITICAL. It's about something utterly idiotic at our insurer.
So, many, many of thousands of dollars per month later (more, that is, over what our obscenely expensive health care coverage ALREADY COST, in 2016), we are insured by the ONLY company available, where we reside. (Yes, that's a real thing.) I suffer through the incompetently-run website, and all that. Get the plan. Mortgage my entire life, and manage to pay for the first month of the new plan. (Note what this means--it means you pay twice, in December; once for the plan you already have, and once for the new plan.) Everything is all copacetic, as they say. Get the insurance cards (ahem, more like paper, not cardstock) in the mail. I take them with me, on a sheet of paper, to the drugstore, make sure that they have the info. Then come home, and Mr. H and I tear them out (yes, kids, along the dotted lines, for those idiots that can't figure out how to cut out their own cards...), and go to put them in our respective wallets. They don't fit. I mean, not by a teeny skosh; they are simply too large, to fit into ANY normal-sized wallet spot. They don't fit in mine, a typical woman's wallet (bill compartment, change compartment, and a stock side that holds X credit cards and the like). Doesn't fit in the cart slots; doesn't fit IN the damn space in the wallet where you put your paper money. Does. Not. Fit. I wander over to where Mr. H is wrangling with his--nope, doesn't fit in a man's wallet, either. I mean...what? WHAT were they thinking? I have had h/c insurance for decades now, and the cards ALWAYS fit. Just like all credit cards, grocery cards, and so on, they're all a standard size. But now? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, this company's healthcare coverage card is NOT the normal size. It's just a skoosh larger, too big to fit in the card slots, too large to fit comfortably in the bill compartment. At a minimum, you'd have to fold it in half and carry it in the bill compartment, I guess. There doesn't seem to be a normal way to moosh it into the card slots. Jesus, really. Is there NOTHING any more that isn't done incompetently? ANYTHING AT ALL? What, they outsourced this to bloody Pluto, where they don't have the same size *&^%$#@! wallets that we do? </grumble><rant not over...> Hitch |

Maybe this shouldn't be a rant. Maybe it should. I don't know yet.
(snip picking rant about expensive restaurant) I've decided to just see what happens, so no rant anymore ![]() Last edited by Katsunami; 01-03-2017 at 05:03 PM. |

You could do a scan and resize them then print them out on business card stock then go to Kinkos and laminate them. Sent from my XT1528 |

Over here the cards are the same size as a credit card. I only have the problem that I have too many cards already..

So I've been sick with a fever for a week now. Hubby has gotten lax about scraping his plate so the cat got ahold of it. Which means this morning I had to wake up and shampoo the rug. He then decides to cook himself lunch. Next thing I know I got tomato sauce all over the wall, the stove and me. Ugh!!! So I just spent the last 10 minutes cleaning that mess up and now I have more dishes to wash later seeing I can barely stand I just rinse them for now. I just need to rest so I can get over this crud.
Also my Green Machine has developed a leak in the hose. ![]() Sent from my XT1528 |

Try some electrical tape on the Green machine, it is made out of a plastic that will stretch somewhat and should do in a pinch. |
