is it possible to read a mobi file with kobo reader?

hi, i have a kobo aura hd, i tried to convert three english dictionaries.mobi(i can open them with the kindle software) it doesn't work, it appear "calibre.ebooks.oeb.base.OEBError: Spine is empty" the files are about 20 mb
i tried to install the last calibre version but, same problem, the mobi doesn't convert
i tried with drm removal( but there was no drm protection, only to give a try)
i installed koreader today, i don't know if it was a correct installation, it appeared a list of instructions i tried to open the files but the epub opens the mobi doesn't open
any suggestion?maybe i made some mistakes with the koreader installation,

A Kobo will read regular Mobi files (although it's not the greatest at it), but Mobi dictionaries are not regular Mobi files, not sure how Calibre is with Mobi dictionaries.
