Hello, new to the forum. If this thread is still open, my KOBO WiFi was working fine until it did the update. If the link is still available I would like to try it.

Which firmware do you have, N647, N647B, or N289?

Once I know that I can send you the link to the correct one

I think that it is the 647. Numbers on the case are KBN647. The serial number starts KBN6470B.

Hi, I have a Kobo N289 with firmware revision 1.9.12 (10/16/14) and all of a sudden it lost all of it's books, including all of the free ones that it came with. The Onboard Storage under Device info shows as BLANK and even if I send .epub over to it, the book list stays empty. I'm guessing that I really need to obtain a proper firmware image? I suppose I'd like to just change out the internal card, too. Can someone please help me obtain the image to fix this thing? Thanks so much!

**EDIT** davidfor helped me to revive the book reader and deserves a gold medal!

Hi

Out of interest what battery life are you getting out of your Kobo Wifi e-readers now?

Just interested as I have a Kobo Glo, and was wondering what battery life IO should be expecting after 6 years.

At the minute I appear to be getting about 40-60 hours of reading time before charging.

Hi, new to the forum and here in this thread for the same reason as mostly everyone else. Working on fixing my mom's Kobo Wifi that ended up no longer recognizing any books on the internal or external SD cards after a failed Wifi update. Trying to fix it with a firmware update had no effect and the Desktop software no longer recognizes it. So, I've extracted the micro SD card and...

it would be great to get a link to a working image for the N289 model.

A huge thanks for all the help you've been providing to users of these older devices!

exactly the same problem as discussed above, I need an SD image of factory files for a Kobo N647 (It got erased as I tried a "suggested update" in Kobo´s own site)
Can anyone provide it? Thanx in advance...
