Hey folks. Silly question. Do you all have winter clothes?
We got to 32F yesterday. The wind chill only got to 24F.
Now that is cold for here but we do have winter clothes.
I talked to my mother who lives on the Gulf Coast where if the low falls to 40, they are cold. Note, most people down there only have light jackets. They were at 38 yesterday with a wind chill of 23. That was in the afternoon.
Just a little something to think about. We may be cold but at least we are somewhat prepared.

Sound like. I live in N. Wisconsin, about 60 miles south of Lake Superior. So we often get "lake effect" snow when spots further south don't.

Yes, I've clothes for hard winters. The question around here is does one need summer clothes? Not really, though I do have shorts and short sleeve shirts for the occasional days in summer when needed.

No I don't own a coat, hat, gloves or sweaters. I wear the same stuff year round. Hubby has a heavy hoodie jacket but that's it.

I have a couple of light scarves and a fleece pullover, but they're packed away till next midwinter.

Sadly, there's no way of dressing here that ameliorates the current weather significantly. 41 tomorrow.

Have you tried going naked when the air is higher than your core body temp, and the UV index is exreme? The risk of arrest is the least of your problems...

It was 54 today. Had the a/c going as it was 75F indoors. Now it's 36F outside and 73F inside and too cold outside to run the a/c so I'm sweltering.

I have winter outerwear. Heavier jacket with a removeable lining. Lining goes in when it's below zero and comes out when it's above. Gloves, headband for my ears. Otherwise, I wear the same clothing year round. I don't own a sweatshirt or sweater, those are too hot to wear. I do have some shorts and capris for the sweltering summer days.

Today, we're under a winter storm warning. I think it's freezing rain outside right now and then snow coming. Won't be fun to get my car unearthed enough to get to work in the morning. If I can chip my way into it and not fall on my butt getting out to it.

60F here right now. Someone asked for Spring for Christmas and got it. A/C is blasting. It's 77F in here.

77F only translates to 25C, doesn't it? And 60 is downright cold.

60 cold!??! That kind of weather is unheard of in the winter. It's suppose to be in the 30s here. Even when I Iived in lower North Carolina it was 40s in the winter.

77F for me is overheating. I got it down to 73F it needs to go down another two degrees before I can even attempt to sleep.

Thank goodness this super warm weather is only suppose to last till tomorrow evening. It'll still be above normal with 40s the rest of the week but better than 60s in December. I need Winter.

I get that it's not as cold as is typical for this season for you Just having a little giggle that 77 is too hot to sleep! It's going to be around that temperature today and tomorrow - very unusually cool - and I was considering packing a cardigan.
