1) Create a Virtual Library in calibre for only Open Road Media titles. 2) Under "Large calibre Library," (in the calibre menu), choose "Pick a random book." 3) Pour some brandy in a glass. 4) Find the most comfortable chair in your study. 5) READ. 6) When you finish reading, do my laundry. | |

Most of the time that I get into that state, it's more a case of me figuring out what sort of book that I'm in the mood for. I think that I have to read one of the books in my to be read list, but none of them quite match my mood. So I'll read a few pages of one, then try another one. Usually, what I do in that situation is go back and re-read a favored book or series. That seems to break the mental log jam. I also find that sometimes when none of my favorite authors have anything new, I'll explore indies, backlists and non fiction. For example, since this is kind of a dead time for new releases, my purchases since November 1st include two new David Weber, a new JA Sutherland book, 5 books on mythology, 3 back list books, a book on volcanoes, and a couple of history books, and 7 indies. After reading the Weber books and the Sutherland book, I bounced around the other books reading a few pages in different books before deciding to re-read the first couple Ring of Fire series by Flint.

Laundry, of course, can always be mixed together. I frequently put Bob's, Carol's, Ted's, and Alice's laundry together with my own. I see no reason why yours can't be thrown in with the mix.

I have a dryer full of clothes that need to be folded and put away....any takers? I hate putting away other people's laundry. My own, I put right away. But I have four kids and a husband that aren't too good at it.

That's an easy one! If it's not put away, out the door it goes. They'll eventually catch on and put their own stuff away. I wash it all but I only fold the towels and sheets and put my own stuff away. Your laundry basket of clothes is expected to be emptied by next laundry day if you want any more clothes of yours washed. |

Sadly, I only got 2 books at the sale. I had planned to shop more, but had to take a family member to the ER. By the time I got to it, I got ONE BOOK and then it flipped over and the sale was over. I am sad. (note, first book got just before having to leave).

I have to say that I sent a heads up to a nephew, saying it was highly likely he was getting a Paperwhite for Christmas and he might want to pick up books in anticipation. By the time he saw my email, it was over.

That's why we don't have a dryer and why I have a husband. He always does the laundry.
