I used to have the brightness at 8%, but I've changed it to 10 recently. I might go back, but the problem is the steps go 1-5 then jump to 10, so it's a hassle to get it at 8.
Yes, now I remember seeing your post on this. I'm going to try these settings this evening. Can't seem to decide on just what I like best yet. Thanks.

Let me know how you like it. It looks best in dimmer light.

Yes, very attractive. I'm going to live with it for a few days to see how it wears on me. But I really like the look.

Saturday i go to the store and try the One, it's beautiful, but really too big for me, i have little hands and i can't hold easily with one hand without put my thumb on the screen.
i think about me on the bus with one hand on the support try to take the one with the other hand... no i can't handle the one with ease.
If only Kobo had put a button.
I've decided to buy for me another Voyage and gift the voyage i have to my mother.

the reason I got the Aura One was the size which basically is a paperback format. In regard to build quality, stability and design, it would have to be the Voyage.
Unfortunately, a 6" screen doesn't cut it for me.
As soon as Amazon will release a larger reader, I will jump ship.

I have small hands too, furthermore very arthritic, and the One is so well balanced that I do read one handed in the metro - without a cover though which would be much less comfortable - and heavier. I use the cover only to go through controls at airports or such, or in rucksacks or other bags without an adequate separate pocket to protect it.

I have recently handled the Glo HD, since it is my "spare wheel" and I keep it updated with new F/W and related patches, and it feels much too small to read on, though if something happened to the One when far from home I know I'll be pleased to have it. It IS much more responsive than the One.

Have you tried the H2O? It's larger than the Voyage at 6.8", but it may not be too large and if that's the case, I do think you'd enjoy it more than the Voyage.

And it H20 has removable internal micro SD card and has slot for external micro SD card. While this might not be important to you it lets you increase memory and recover if firmware is corrupted.

I had the H2O, i prefer the Voyage for the flush screen, light sensor and page press (taptic buttons).
i'm sad to leave Kobo, but reading on the Voyage for me is a beautiful experience, and i don't see any Kobo that fits for me like the Voyage, maybe in the future.

One thing people seem to not compare is the text rendering. Kobo can render with hyphens, kerning, variable paces, & ligatures. with just a plain ePub eBook. For a Kindle to do this, it needs a KFX format eBook which you cannot always get. And being able to increase the weight of fonts on a Kobo can help make reading easier.
