The chemicals used to treat the roads don't work that well when it gets below about 10 degrees. We're at 10 below zero this morning but it's supposed to be even worse tomorrow morning and, of course, that's when I have to go out.

It's actually supposed to get into the low 70s tomorrow. Then again, it was supposed to get into the mid-60s today. I didn't check a thermometer, but that was the chilliest 60s I ever saw.

So it's -18 F out at the moment. It won't get above -4 F today, with wind chill numbers of -20--30 F. It snowed starting Friday afternoon and continuing into the wee hours this morning. No way I'm going to venture outside today to start removing snow from my driveway and sidewalk. All wait until Monday when it is supposed to get up to 18 F.

Stayed in the 40's F yesterday, now 60 F this morning, sposed to rise into the 70's F -- then a cold front drops us into the 30's F, with sleet/freezing rain tomorrow morning.

I'm feeling sea-sick from these ups & downs ...

Hamlet must live in my neck of the woods. Our high was 2 below today with a nasty wind. At least we only got a dusting of snow here. Supposed to start out cold tomorrow morning but I hear we're getting up into the teens above zero by the end of the day.

It'll be nice to not have to plug the car in every night for a while.

-5 here and 70F inside. It got up to 10 with real feel of -6. The roads are mostly clear. The salting has worked despite MODot claims. Our landlady salted our parking lot this morning. Well she has a service that she hired to do it.

In the past two days we've has lightning, freezing rain, temps in the teens, snow, fog, freezing mist, rain, temps in the 50s, rain, and wind (highest gust in NJ was 57mph).

For Monday we should have plenty of sun, but the high should be 32°F.
