I have a Samsung S3 phone and it used to show up under Ignored Devices. One day without thinking, I removed it from the Ignored Devices.

![]() I can't find a way to tell Calibre to ignore it again. If I plug in the phone after Calibre is started, it takes about 5 minutes before the "job" is done so I can use Calibre again. I've tried disabling the Android Driver in plugins and Smart Device apps without success. I don't read books on my phone and don't need Calibre to interface with the phone. Please help. |

Right click on the device icon in calibre and choose configure this device. There is an option to ignore it there.

device icons only appear when a CONNECTED device is detected by Calibre (and you will see the device name on the status line at the bottom of Calibre)

If you disable the Android driver in Preferences->Plugins calibre won't detect Android phones. Then if you get a new phone you wont have to remember how to disable it in calibre.

If you later decide you do want calibre to detect your phone you can re-enable it in Preference-Ignored devices. BR |

There is also the Unplugged plugin. This lets you disable the device detection. It's useful if you want to plug a device in while calibre is running, but don't want calibre to see it.
