1,198.

ETA: and wow, do my hands have cramps. Gave up downloaded each about 1/3 thru, just clicked to place into account one page at a time, while watching something on tv. Every now and then had a bad purchase page show up, so you have to pay a bit of attention to make sure they all end up in your account.

If you look on the bottom right it tells that you can also include the iterms which were left out of the filter and it says 1156 books are included !!!!!!

The free ones finish roughly after page 39, if I got it right. I too almost got cramps, got a bagful of Sheckleys and Poul Anderson older ones, wooooowww.

What a wonderful sale !!!! Better than the Kobo's one when they had the 90% discount working!!

I just finished adding my haul to Goodreads (that GR/Amazon link comes in handy, even if it doesn't fill out the "I own it, purchased from Amazon on this date" info). Grand total: 410 books added to Mount Tsundoku.

Could you give a quick run-down on how to do this, please?

Also, is there a way to alphabetize the authors before putting them into Goodreads?

-- I think I acquired close to your number!

Thanks.

SF Gateway are having a 50% off Christmas sale of their Gateway Essentials series (530 books) Saturday 17th December through to Friday 6th January.

Details: http://blog.sfgateway.com/index.php/...hristmas-sale/

This is UK only but I can see some of the discounted books on Kobo from Ireland. The sale is across most retailers. These books are not eligble for discount codes either.

This is a spreadsheet with all the books:

I only added a dozen or so... gave up after twenty pages.

I have to keep in mind that I only have so much time to read, and I am trying to limit my purchases to stuff I can and will read.

Despite the price.

Thanks Picked up some

Thanks for the heads up. It looks like a number of these are also discounted in the German kobo store although not at amazon.de so for those based in Europe it might be worth checking in your kobo stores.

Sure!

Go to the Goodreads website (not the app) and click "My Books" at the top. On that page, you'll see a list of your shelves on the left sidebar, ending with the "select multiple" link, an "add shelf" button, and an "owned books" link. The first thing I did was define a new shelf, because I wanted all of these purchases in one place in case something odd came up - which I'm glad I did, because this technique doesn't fill in any "I own a copy, bought from Amazon on date X" data, something I view as a serious oversight.

Anyway, under that "owned books" link is a "Tools" section. The first link there is "recommendations," but next is "add Amazon book purchases" - so click that.

As this is your first time using the feature, it'll ask you to log into Amazon, for obvious reasons. Once you do, it'll bring you to a screen where it displays the GR covers of your most recent purchases that aren't in GR, five books to a row, but with horizontal lines separating days. Under each cover is the usual dropdown menu that you see elsewhere on the site, where you can add the book to your library on whatever shelves are appropriate. Under THAT, though, is a "Do not add" link - if you click that, it replaces the cover/dropdown with a message confirming that GR won't add that book to your collection. So go through and add what you want to add.

Underneath those rows is a "load more books" button, with a "return to My Books" off to the left under it. I started hitting some serious lag after hitting "load more" a few times, so I'm going to recommend clicking the return link and re-entering the tool after about every four batches. (That's still 100 at a time!)

Only to a very limited degree. The incoming data is newest-first, but you can add the displayed books in whatever sequence you see fit. Nothing says you have to go left-to-right, top-to-bottom. That said, since you can sort your shelves by clicking on the column headers, it really doesn't matter much...

Thank you very much for the info on Goodreads.

I wasn't aware that one could alphabetize in the manner you explained.

--- I ended up getting a bit more than you....Ack! That's 464 titles, but I also went with a number of fiction titles and a few children's titles. Right now I'm batch processing these Open Road ebooks, using calibre, to get the right text justified - on both epubs and Azw3.

By the way, if I hadn't checked your link, I would have ended missing - SOMEHOW! - 11 Harlan Ellison titles. That's now been rectified.

THANKS.
