More seriously, though, do you just have one Kobo account that you use fairly often?

Although I hate to attribute this much logic to Kobo, I have two accounts of my own, one that is my main account, and then a "spare" under another email address, and then my husband, son and father all have Kobo accounts that they never use and I use only occasionally. Since Kobo quit having contests and having many coupons, I have only gotten "miss you" codes on the "extra" accounts, never on the one I use a lot.

Don't know if anyone else's experience is consistent, but maybe "miss you" really does mean "miss you" !

I have multiple email addresses as I use them for different things. The Kobo account is linked to one in particular. In the days of the contests, I used the others to play for more codes, but have not used any of them with Kobo since. I have not received a miss you code on any of them.

Yes, I get Miss You codes on the accounts that are not used often at all. Never to the main one I use.

KOBO didn't miss me enough to let me shop in Mexico. This does appear to work for 50% in the English speaking world:

If the others were just used for contest sign-ups and didn't have Kobo accounts linked to them, then they won't be missing those.

I buy a few books from Kobo these days. Enough that they occasionally miss me to the tune of 25%, but not often.

(I only have the one account.)

I have a couple of accounts for when I visit the UK and Canada, but Kobo never misses them. I've been thinking about opening accounts for other members of the family to be able to make use of the rare coupons that come out, and maybe get a missing you coupon or two. I like to put everything into Calibre and side load it, and I buy from several retailers, so that's not a big deal for me to have more than one account.

Hi there!
I was about to use this kobo-misses-you code, but tried the 75% one first and it worked

So, here you are: JVJNZJ
50%, valid until 9 December.

I just had a rather unpleasant 45 minute chat with a Kobo Customer Care rep, when I was following up on several price matches from last Tuesday. Chances are, they are just slow, but this clueless rep was asking me things like if I had a screen print and whether I had bought them yet. I've been having such good success in getting my sale books from Kindle Deals of the Day price matched, I didn't screen print them this time, but I think in the future I will go back to getting a screen capture for every price match I request. The follow up for this latest chat will should happen within the next 3-6 business days. Yay!

Follow up: It took 8 days for Kobo to respond to my price match requests, but they did match them all.

Last edited by bgalbrecht; 12-14-2016 at 12:41 PM. Reason: Added follow up.

DSCVR90BK still works. 90% off a book almost R400 is wonderful. Kobo has never sent me a "miss you" code, even when more than a year has passed since I purchased a book.

The code just worked for me at the checkout. Nothing better than paying 10% of the price for a book!

Just got an email from Kobo with code 40DEC good for 40% on "select titles".

Here's the link (for the US anyway)...

I was just checking prices this evening (honest!), but when I put a book into my cart to see if it was couponable while signed into Kobo Canada, I got the following pop-up:

Quote:
One or more items in your cart are not available for purchase in your region.
Could Kobo have started to enforce geo-restrictions? The end of an era. While I didn't think I ought to purchase a book abroad because it was cheaper, I had no issue traveling to buy something unavailable in the US.
