I am a non-fictionista, so I wasn't interested in any of the books (downloading fiction on my computer causes it to crash every time ). For that same reason, I didn't try buying one, much less twelve.

I hope that everyone who saw my post will see yours, also. Someone, AnemicOak, maybe, created a new thread about this, too, a couple of hours after I made my post. I hope the peeps monitoring that thread will also see your post.

Strange. Two polar-opposite experiences . . . .

Maybe you shouldn't accept cookies. They track your visits to the site; if you have taken advantage of some deal before, they may be locking you out now.

If that doesn't work, try some other browser.

If those don't work, you might want to drop in on the thread (non-sticky) that AnemicOak created about the promotion and see if anyone monitoring it can offer some advice.

That's about all that I can suggest. But I am so computer illiterate and technologically-challenged that Computers for Dummies is over my head. ha

Depends where you are. It's a UK publisher and all of the books except for one, Master of War, are geo restriced (appear to be anyway) and not available in the US at least.

When you sign up, it embeds your name on one of the front pages. In my case, the books belong to me, Furz Berstertocken.

Using calibre edit, I was able to change it to my real name, Blass Fisterbuster, Jr.

I should note that I did not accept the warning about cookies. I ignored it, much in the same way I ignore traffic signs, red lights, and elderly people who cross the street.

All 12 books look nice in my calibre library. Some day, I may decide to read one. In the meantime, I've got a rash on my scalp that seems to be spreading down my neck and back, as it makes its way unerringly toward my left buttock.

I'm currently looking for a layman's book on suppurating rashes, their cause and prevention.

Yeah, I don't know either. They've done some kind of geo-restricting with their site (probably IP based) and that's not the only book they sell in the US on Amazon, but not in the US through their own store.

I couldn't put anything in the cart either, but I thought maybe it was because I was using a tablet. I only get the cart to pop up but it's empty. Since I'm in the US I guess I don't need to try on the desktop.
