I'm watching Smokie Mountains Rise telethon put on by Dolly Parton for the wildfire victims. It's on my Roku and it keeps kicking in and out. The sound goes wonky and everyone sounds like chipmunks for awhile before switching back to sounding normal. I got to hear my cousin Hank Jr sound like a singing chipmunk. I'm still chuckling about that.

Luckily the amount I've ordered. However, one was a huge bag. Most of the teas I like have heavy ingredients; cinnamon stick, pieces of dried fruit, chopped nuts, etc. But one of my favourite teas is just dried herb leaves, so very light. I ordered 250 grams of all of my favourite teas, not realizing that the leafy tea is very light and 250 grams is a really big bag.

Not a huge problem, because I make this tea often, especially when I make a pot (it doesn't go bitter when it's kept hot on a tealight for a while).

Now I'm looking for a bigger teapot. The ones I like are either small or are ridiculously expensive.

I saw, but since I live in the Netherlands I'm afraid it wouldn't survive the trip (don't mind spending on shipping if it's a pot I really like).

I like a one litre to a one and a half litre pot in a fun colour and it should be able to withstand a tealight. At the moment I prefer a more modern and sleek look over the old fashioned rounded teapots. I'll probably get a cheap teapot from Ikea until I find one I really like.

Wrapping the last of the Christmas presents. Now I only need to make a couple more cards and get a basket to put some of the presents for my sister in, but since that's technically a house warming gift I'm done with the presents itself. I'm feeling very organised having everything ready a week before Christmas. Normally I spend a couple of hours just before Christmas running around the city getting presents.

Staring at a (physical) copy of the book "S" by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst, and wondering what the heck to do with it. It seems so hokey that I'm not at all interested.

Anybody want this, for just the postage?

Yeah, but it's got so many loose paper things between the pages, that anybody picking it up and leafing through it will wreck the book. That's why my mom is even hesitant to give it to her senior facility library. These loose objects/notes/whatevers are PART of the book. It was given to me with a spare sheet of paper, listing where all these extra bits are supposed to go, in case they fall out.

Really hokey. But it was on the Best Seller list a few years ago, apparently.

Trying to decide whether I'm going to the Birmingham area or to Newcastle on vacation next year. It's been a while and I really need my UK fix, so I want to either go in June or in September.

The Birmingham area is my old stomping ground (studied at the University of Wolverhampton) and it's been a while since I've been there. The last time I went to Coventry for the afternoon and really liked it, so I want to explore more. I'll probably end up staying in Wolverhampton because it cheaper.

A couple of years ago I went to Newcastle with me sister, we were there for just over 48 hours and there are still loads of things I want to see. Plus, the people were very friendly and I loved the atmosphere.

At the moment I'm leaning more towards Birmingham.
