Hi all,

My Aura HD is frozen and doesn't respond to anything anymore. I've tried a factory reset and the screen is stuck on 3 out of 5 blocks and shows the text 'restoring' in 8 languages

When I hook it up to my computer it doesn't recognize it.

I think the image on the internal SD card is corrupt, can anyone send me a functioning image for this e-reader?

I've replaced the image, was able to restart and unfortunately a line of pixels is lost. Not sure if this happened while opening up the e-reader or if this already was the case.
Ordered a new screen, hopefully it will be fixed with replacement of the screen.

Hi All,

My Aura HD died overnight for no reason. I does not want to recover. So i opend it and took out the SD card. Under Linux it revealed 3 partitions. However none of these hat the boot flag set. I set the boot flag for the system partition but it did not help. Although, after more than a week I could start it! And than it froze on me again..So my last resort is to put a new image on the SD card. Can someone share an image with me?

Hi All

Got the same problem as of this morning... Kobo was in standby mode all night
Then this morning i tried to wake it up with no success
Tried different things (power+backlight buttons and so on), got the backlight to show up once but never got the display to show anything.
Only sign of any life is the "power" led blinking 8 to 9 times when i push on the power button, and off again , as per this quote:

Got the SD Card out and managed to read it on OSX.
Cloned it
Formatted it
Then re-copied on top of it
But still same behaviour

Gonna go and buy a 4 or 8GB card soon...

Anyone kind enough to post me a link for the original Kobo OS ?

@ben999: Based on the posts in this and the other image request threads, not coming back probably means the image fixed the problem.

I have sent you a PM with the link to the image. Hopefully it solves the problem for you.

Could somebody send me the image as well? I'm getting a black white black refresh but the screen always stays blank white. The light seems to function normally.

Also how would I go about copying over the SD image? I already have the Aura HD open.

also my aura hd froze. only blinking of the led happens when trying to reset the device. but it stays stuck. looks very much like some of the posts described in this thread.
Can someone send me please the image of the sd card ?

Coming back to share my experience...
Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem
At startup, Aura with old sd card flashed 8 or 9 times before shutting down on its own
At startup with new image (on a new sd card), Aura flashes forever until manually stopped (hammer???

)
Both SD Card can be read/written with Linux or OSX
So the best way to fix this problem so far was to go back to the shop with a handfull of bucks... :/
