Same here... unable to finish sync without Network Error
I'm going to find out how to do a factory reset of my Kobo Aura One. Something's definitely not right all of a sudden.

Go into the settings, then the "Device information page". Near the bottom is the option to do a factory reset. There are other ways that are intended for when you cannot get to this screen. They are detailed in the user manual. They achieve exactly the same affect.

I'm concerned about firmware updates and not sure whether receiving a message of a 'network error' means I won't be able to download these. I'm also just curious to know why this error keeps happening.

Unless the error is happening as soon as you start the sync, you will probably be OK. The first thing that is done is to check for a firmware update and download it. You will be able to see this happening. If the download fails, there are other ways to get the firmware and install it.

Well, a factory reset fixed my syncing issue after I accidentally messed up a database while trying to run a pragma integrity_check on it. So it appears that's a solution.
Sorry I couldn't get you more diagnostic info davidfor. I'll try again if the device gets into a bad state again. |

My Kobo Aura One sync completed successfully today. I didn't do a reset or anything like that.
