Hi, My name is Mike Donohue. I have adopted the name OldSage for this forum. I am a retired guy who likes to read. I have a variety of reading interests ranging from Adv-Spy-Detctv, to Historic Novel, to hard Science Fiction. I also like to read light Philosophy and Comparative Religion, favorite topics in the range of Heschel, Buber, Tillich, Karen Armstrong, Dalai Lama, Robert Thurman, Sogyal Rinpoche. I am an amateur writer who likes to explore ideas in essays. I like to exchange ideas on forums like this. Regards to all, Mike

Hi MikeD, I'm probably in your age group and have similar interests in reading. John Searle answered many of my questions on the human mind in "Minds, Brains and Science". I have also attended many of Sogyal's talks in the early eighties here. Welcome to the forum.
