If "everyone is free to do as they choose" and "but it's your choice" are "pushy" to you, you might want to recalibrate.

There is a lot of knowledge and experience here, and people willing to share it, gratis. If you have concerns for data loss, the way you're choosing to do things is the most risky, not the least.

Katie, not intending to be pushy. Of course everyone should do what they want. But Kobo owners know that as wonderful as the readers are, they do have a habit of crashing and losing info. As far as I know, dragging and dropping books and ejecting the reader using Windows Explorer is riskier than doing the same via Calibre (and I could be wrong there. Others with more info can correct me). Likely it will never happen to you. But take it as the friendly warning it is intended as.

As to my PC crashing and me losing my library, I actually keep Calibre and my books on an external hard drive and I regularly sych it to a secondary external hard drive. I also back the whole thing up to Google Drive, so I feel my data is as safe as I can humanly make it.

For all that, my information is on my Kobo just like yours is, so if your nightmare scenario were to happen to both of us, how would I be any worse off than you are?

Dragging and dropping is no more dangerous than using calibre. The only time calibre writes to the database is if you have calibre update metadata, or manage collections.

I know it takes at least 32GB. That's what I have in mine and that's what was advertised when it was released: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobo_Aura

I bought the official leather case for the Aura off of eBay for cheap. It is a very nice, solid case. But to me it makes the reader clunky to hold. Here's the fabric one. Looks like they sold out of the leather one.

The kwmobile cases on Amazon look very nice. I know one other user mentioned having one for their Aura H20 but I don't have first hand experience.

for the link to Wiki. Interesting. 32 gig is a Lot of eBooks! But at least I can now shop around for SDCard.

Link to amazon showed cases for the New Arua One which is bigger than mine. eBay link was the one mine takes.... hope it comes in more colors than grey

You should be able to use at least 128g. But 64g is a good price point.

Sorry about that. Kwmobile does make cases for the Aura you have as well. I guess I just linked wrong.

The kwmobile cases look nice because the cover folds all the way back. On the other hand, the official cover is thicker, so should be better if you drop your reader.

Either way, hope you like your case!

That's WAY too Big! Who would even have that many eBooks to fill it... I was thinking more on the size of 8-10 gig. My past eReaders would only hold 4 gig, reason I asked.
