I use the suspend feature extensively. Have for some time. Glad they kept that in the new system. It helps me to keep my place but not feel the pressure when lots of stuff might come up at once. So I can pick what I want next and I am already on the top in line.

I totally agree. The "My Library" label is really annoying when you have multiple libraries. It's even signed from "My Library" inside the email body. I just want to know who you are. I can't remember where all of my holds are. I don't want to have to click the link to find out. A name would be nice.

A few days ago I tried using the new Overdrive on my Sony reader and it worked OK.
However, tonight when I enter my password and tap to sign in, the status bar at the top gets most of the way across and then I get booted out of the browser altogether -it sends me back to page 2 of the reader's main menu. This has happened over and over again. The library's website is not down. I tried it on my PC and it works normally. Has anyone else had a problem using the new overdrive in general (or the NC library in particular) on a mobile device? edited to add: I tried googling the library (on my Sony reader) and when I clicked on the search result for the library's home page, I got booted out of the browser again. Tried googling again, one of the pages google offered me was the library's Advanced Search page. Clicked on that link and it came up ok. From that page, I clicked sign in, it let me sign in and returned me to the Advanced Search page. I was able to click My Account, but then when I selected Wishlist I got booted out of the browser again. Reopened browser and used the history listings to go back to the Advanced Search page. Found I was still signed in. Clicking on the bookshelf icon got me booted out of the browser again. Went back in via Advanced Search, then the library's menu button, then subjects, selected a subject and was able to see some books. From that page, I clicked on the bookshelf icon and got booted out of the browser again. I can search and browse normally and access my account settings, but if I try to access my loans, holds, or wishlist, I get booted out. Last edited by 4691mls; 11-28-2016 at 08:28 PM. still not working right today. It's showing me as still signed in, and I can't sign out - it boots me out of the browser again.

Anyone else having problems downloading any library book today?
I'm pretty sure I've downloaded something from them lately (last couple of days), but today trying to download anything via overdrive from two different libraries just results in an error message about the server where the file resides. Checked Kobo and NetGalley and can download from them fine and tried another computer with different version of ADE and it won't download a library book either, today. |

Well, that's not fair at all, is it?
It acts like a DNS issue, so perhaps they moved a server and I'll have to wait until everything propagates. Odd that I can ping it just fine, but not download a book from the server. Thanks for giving it a try. ETA: This is the error I get, if it is in any way helpful in diagnosing what my problem is Spoiler:
Needless to say, there is no error with the connection and the same pc downloads from kobo and netgalley (and is doing so as I type), so.... ![]() Last edited by koland; 11-30-2016 at 01:02 AM. |

I had no problems yesterday or this morning with downloading, transferring and returning books via the Sony reader software - everything worked normally.
However, I am still having the problems described a few posts ago when trying to use the library directly from my Sony PRS-T1. |
