				Duplicate icon in W10/pro

Lately I've noticed that Calibre is creating a duplicate icon in my task bar rather than doubling up on itself when I open Calibre. The other apps in my task bar double up fine.

Any idea how to eliminate the extra icon and have it work normally?

Yep. Thanks. The only fix that worked for me was deleting the TB icon, running Calibre from my program list, then right clicking the icon and choosing pin to TaskBar from that option.

If I tried to pin it from the program list (start menu) without running Calibre, I still got the double icon. |

Yes, that was Kovid's solution. But I like to try different options to see what works. His was the only solution I tried that worked!

I've run into this on earlier Windows OS versions with another app, but the solution was a bit more complex and involved making copies in the program folder and then pinning those (iirc). I was hoping for a simple solution... and found it! (thanks for your linky). |
